God's Plan

Just when I thought I had God figured out, He had a way of keeping me on my toes. So the past few weeks my family and I have been waiting for my dad to receive conformation on the job in Detroit. The company assured us that my Dad would get the job, even told us to look for a house in MI. I was excited about moving up north. But God has a different plan in mind. The company called my Dad , not too long ago, and told him, that after looking at the projected income for 2010, they will not be able to hire him back. I know, I know! bummer, right? I know God's got something better in mind for me and my family, it's just we see through a glass darkly: 1 Corinthians 13:12
12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Which basically means, we'll never fully know what God has in store for us. But sometime I wish a has a bottle of Windex and some paper towels! So since we can't stay in our house in NC, Were all moving to Georgia! Back to my roots! My sisters ( who, thankfully, don't still live with us;~) live there and my folks wanted to be closer to them. I know my whole blog was based on the idea of moving up north but, I'm sure with God drawin' up the plans for my life, it's still gonna be an adventure. After all......... Tomorrow is Another day!

Love Y'all,
Ashley
P.S I pray Y'all have a wonderful weekend:~)

  1. Ashley, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's job! Bummer is right!

On the other hand...WOO-HOO!...you're moving back to GA!!! Where are you moving "back" to?? I'm in LaGrange...about an hour south of Atlanta.

Maybe we can get together sometime, after you get moved. :)

  3. Hey Ashley! I know where that is! My Dad competes in the Senior Olympics there almost every year...they're the last week in September.

He's only 57, but the age limit goes up into the 70s! It's a lot of fun watching the older folks compete. LOL

They have an awesome used book store, and a pretty big Goodwill, where you can get some great books! The UBS is: Gottwals Books (www.gottwalsbooks.com). I think they recently opened another location.

Be sure to keep me posted on your move...maybe we could meet halfway sometime?? Feel free to email me anytime...I can be a little slow getting around to check my friends blogs (bad, bad Lori!). Sometimes I even forget where I've commented, so I can't go back and check for responses! *eye roll*

Sorry! I'll hush now. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    Love you, too!
