When She Walks In Beauty came out back in April, I had my sister (after much begging on my part) drive the half hour and more, to the closest Barnes & Noble to buy it. I was completely smitten w/ the cover and the story, so, I had no problem with plunking down the $15.00 to the B&N cashier when it came time to purchase it. Little did I know that two weeks later, Jim Hart @ Bethany House Publisher, would be gracious enough to offer it up for review, and for free no less! To make a long story short, I somehow signed up for SWIB for review (though I've already written mine awhile back) and just received it in the mail a couple of days ago. So today, my book blunder is y'all's opportunity to win a free book!! And a fantastic book at that. I really enjoyed it (and my review for SWIB is HERE) and I know that who ever wins this giveaway, will love it just as much as I did.

Love Ya,

I just love the calicos and bonnets of the prairie romance books. I can't say that I would want to wear them myself though - imagine the heat! I do think bonnets would be a great fix for bad hair days though.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this giveaway! This book has such a beautiful cover and has been universally praised in reviews! I'd love to win : )
ReplyDeleteEven though I love clothes and fashions of all eras, I have never been fashionable. I love to sew and work with fabric. I do needlework and embroidery, and have made a living at times through my crafts and custom sewing. I love clothing and costumes with lots of beautiful fabric, gathers, tucks, pleats, beadwork and artistic details. I also make cloth dolls and country critters, and they all have wonderful clothing : )

Please enter me. i read A constant Heart not too long ago, and i'm really looking forward to reading this one.
ReplyDeleteI like the Pride and Prejudice type clothing. (like the one with keira Knightly) i wanted my wedding dress to be somewhat like those dresses, but i ended up getting a great deal on another one that i liked. I like different things about clothing from all the time periods, though. :)

The cover is beautiful. Don't have a special period that I love for dress but just adore lace, beads and jewels on the clothing. Myself, I am much less fussy. My mother taught sewing and she loved everything from the Victorian to Chanel. Think that's where I got it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this giveaway. With a cover like that the book must be wonderful.

I like the white, lacy clothing that is often seen in movies like Pride and Prejudice.

One of my favorite dress styles are those that were worn in the south right before the civil war. Undoubtedly as uncomfortable as all get out, but I'm convinced corsets & crinolines can make anyone look good.
ReplyDeletePlease accept my entry for this wonderful book. Thanks!

First off, I like the cover of this book. It really works well with the title.
ReplyDeleteI love the jeans, flannel shirt with sleeves roled up to the elbows, cowboy boots, and a Charlie One Horse hat on the head look!
