The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

PHEW! I've finally gotten a few moments to sit down and write. It's been two weeks since we moved and I have unpacked enough boxes to build a small sky scraper. But now that those are out of my way, I've finally gotten around to decorating the house. Unfortunately, this last summer we had a garage sale, and inadvertently sold the top half of our Christmas tree, or so we thought. So when we got to the Christmas boxes we discovered our Christmas tree was not all there. So my mom throw it out, saying "After Christmas they'll be dirt cheap". Oh, the tragedy! The only tree we had left was a 4 ft. pencil tree, we usually put out on the porch. So Porch Tree, just got promoted to Family Room Tree. It was a pretty sad tree , no lights, barely any branches left and shorter then I am, I had to do something. Then it hit, sort of, what if I put garlands and Christmas lights all over it, maybe then it wouldn't look so........well you know;~)

And VIOLA! a tree that can almost be passed off as being "festive"! And yes, it's precariously leaning to left. It adds and artist feel, don't you think? haha lol;~D

This it what it look like before;~)

This is Felix, discovering that baby Jesus is quit delicious. Now when ever we don't see Jesus in the nativity we yell "Felix, what did you do with Baby Jesus?". lol He just crawls under the couch with guilt:~)

Unfortunately, I'm still haven't decorated the outside which is a whole other story. So, now I'm gonna go and put garlands and sting up light on our house. Hopefully I won't fall off our rickety, old ladder or electrocute myself on a string of lights that, now matter how neatly your put them away the year before, their always tangled when you bring them out, months later. Who's idea was it to put lights upon one's house, again?

Merry Christmas Y'all,

Ashley
