Only a Kiss....pt.5

Happy Valentine's Y'all! I hope your having a great day spending time with the ones you love and cherish!

I really hope you've enjoyed those smooches as much as I did.LOL
And for the last kiss scene, I wanted to do share a kissing scene written (more or less) by the true Author of romance, God. For me, I never thought the Bible had romance in it. Loving your neighbor aplenty, but not, deep and passionate, sweep-you-off-of-your-feet, "romance". But as I've recently learned, God invented romance and is the One who put in us, the ability to feel such emotions, with just a single kiss. God made these things, to shows us, just a fraction of the love He has for us. I know, I know, you didn't come here, to hear a sermon, but I couldn't help sharing what I've just (like 5 mins ago!) learned for myself. So here is a passage in the bible about "our" kind of romance;~) LOL

Song of Solomon 1:1-4
1 This is Solomon’s song of songs, more wonderful than any other. 2 Kiss me and kiss me again, for your love is sweeter than wine. 3 How fragrant your cologne; your name is like its spreading fragrance. No wonder all the young women love you! 4 Take me with you; come, let’s run! The king has brought me into his bedroom.
So, was this only a kiss? As always I'd love to hear what you think.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love Y'all,
Ashley:~D

Only a Kiss.......

Right?
Sometimes a kiss is the turning point in the book. But I love reading books where the characters share their first kiss, and your holding your breath through the whole scene, waiting for what, you don't know . But first kisses aren't everything. Sometimes it's the kiss shared right before a husband leaves his wife, to go off to war *sigh*. In honor of Valentine's Day (this Sunday), this whole week (or at least whats left of it) I'll be posting some of my favorite love scenes (in particular order) I've read . Be they kissing, almost kissing or declaring their love to each other, I love them all (scenes that is). And I want to share them with you!
I hope you like the scenes as much I do and go out and read these fantastic books for yourself (and perhaps you've already have) Enjoy!

Here is my favorite kissing scene from The Red Siren by M.L. Tyndall:

Taken from page 185 of The Red Siren:

"She tilted her lips in a gentle smile--a genuine smile devoid of the though faced and sarcasm. Dajon's heat swelled under the warmth of it. And he knew. He knew at that moment that he cared for her. As much as he fought it, as much as he denied he was enchanted by this brazen, redhead, stubborn spitfire of a woman.
"I see you have no answer, Mr. Waite?" she quipped. "Well, what should I expect from a--"
Dajon brushed a thumb over the sleek line of her jaw, silencing her. Relishing in the softness of her skin, he tipped her head toward him and placed his lips upon her. Why he gave in to the impulse, he couldn't say for sure Perhaps it was to still her insolent tongue. Perhaps he could no longer resist her, or it was because she'd asked what he wanted, and truth be told, all he wanted was to kiss her.
She sank into him, receiving his kiss with equal passion. He lost himself in the feel of her, the softness of her lips, the smell of her breath, the warmth of her cures next to him. He felt as though his whole body was aflame and drinking her in was the only way to put out the fire. She reached up and ran her fingers over the stubble on his cheek and moaned"

*sigh* What can I say, I''ve got a thing for romantic pirate stories.

As always I'd love to hear what you think of this scene or if you have a favorite one you'd like to share. Y'all just feel free to leave a comment:~)
And I hope Y'all check back tomorrow for another one of my favorite love scene.

And be sure to check out The Seekers blog today. My favorite author, Julie Lessman, has posted some of her favorite kissing scenes from her books in The Daughters of Boston series and her new series Winds of Change. And Mrs. Lessman has offered to give one lucky commenter a free copy of either A Passion Most Pure, A Passion Redeemed, A Passion Denied or a copy of the first book in the Winds of Change series, A Hope Undaunted.

Love Y'all,
Ashley.
