Countdown To A Hope Undaunted: My #4 Can't-Wait-To-Read of 2010

Yesterday, I asked Y'all 2 questions from each of Julie's books, and you guys were super close to the answers. But, today I'm going to reveal the answers.
Q1. Where was it, that Faith first saw Charity and Collin kissing?
A1. On the back porch of the O'Connor home

Q2.True of False: Faith had a limp because when she was a child, she contracted malaria.
A2.False. Faith had a limp due to having polio as a child

Q3. What lie did Mitch force Charity to tell when they got onto the boat heading to Boston?
A2. That they were husband and wife.

Q4. What did the O'Connors called their great-grandmother?
A.4. Mima

Q5. What was Lizzie's best friend's name, and who was her boyfriend?
A5. Millie and her boyfriend named Frank.

Q6. What song did Lizzie walk down the aisle to?
A6. Ava Marie.

Most of these question were just so obscure that, you'd never know the answer unless you had the book right in front of you. I'm sorry, that was my fault:(

It's time to prepare for the party. And since it's going to be an authetnice 1930's party, what dress should I ware? Hmm.. how about this? Maybe this.....
How about even this?

What would you ware? Leave a comment with a link to the picture of the 1930's dress you would ware. At the release party, I'll post all Y'alls' dresses for everyone to see.

Now for my #4 Can't-Wait-To-Read of 2010...

First Love by Michelle Sutton

Back cover (from Desert Breeze publishing):

Josiah and Tara had enjoyed acting in their high school plays. They had also been each other's first lover... in fact; most of the time they'd spent together had been in Tara's bed. When Josiah became a Christian, he left Tara to go to college and didn't look back.
Four years later, Josiah is back in town when his father has a near-fatal heart attack. When they meet up again they realize how much their separation had hurt each of them. But now Tara is a Christian and is trying to live a life that is pleasing to God.
Josiah wants Tara back, but neither knows how to relate to each other without the physical intimacy they once shared. They are determined to do things right this time, but find it more challenging than they'd anticipated.

Why it's my #4 Can't-Wait-To-Read?
When I was looking up the cover art for First Impressions by Michelle Sutton, I saw that she has a second book coming out in that series called First Love, and when I saw it I knew I'd found a new can't-wait-to-read.

Today's Verses: Ecclesiastes 6:9-12

9Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

10That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.

11Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?

12For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Love Y'all,

  1. Fun idea, Ashley! :) Here's a link to some pictures of a dress I found on "":

Supposedly it's dated back to the late 1920s. It's quite lovely and kind of close to my size it seems, just a bit expensive. ;) But if you go to the link below, and scroll down to it, you'll see that it is a "Satin Party Dress!"

It's the third dress. Looking forward to the party!

It's the white one with the black accents :)

My #4 is a book called Cut. It's about a teenager who struggles with cutting and suicidal thoughts.

  3. I am SO excited for the party!! Maybe Julie will show up too. :) Here is my dress:

Though I think the yellow might make me look pasty being a blonde, so I would hope it came in a purple. :) My favorite color.

My #4 can't wait for read is Within My Heart by Tamera Alexander.

And I think I only got about 3 of the questions right! I need to brush up on my Passion knowledge. :D

  4. I change my mind, I just found this one, love it much better!

  5. I think this is my dress:

Although, I really like these 2 if the tops were a little more conservative.

1st and 7th on the left

My #4 can't wait is Simpply Sara by Hilary Manton Lodge.
